I have multiple media players installed like Parole and SMPlayer and mpv media player. In Thunar Parole is default. I right click a video file and select open with... SMPlayer. Then it seems Thunar should remember this and open the video file with SMPlayer in the future. But not always if... I right click the file again (without deselecting it) the first menu item still says the old media player choice (Parole). I have to deselect the file in Thunar. Then when i right click it the menu item is updated. Or if i first double click the file and right click it afterwards. Then it is also updated.
