Whisker menu plugin uses: Edit programs And application menu plugin uses: Edit menu Maybe they should use the same. Either programs or menu. Whisker menu have the string in the context menu. While application menu plugin have it in preferences.
Maybe i like Edit menu better because you are not editing the programs.
You change the icon, name, and comment of the programs, so you can edit them to a degree. I used the phrase "Edit Applications" because that is what it is KDE, which is what I mimicked. I don't see an "edit menu" in the preferences of the applications menu plugin.
Created attachment 8592 Rediger menu/Edit menu #: ../plugins/applicationsmenu/applicationsmenu-dialog.glade.h:13 msgid "Ed_it Menu" msgstr "R_ediger menu"
That must be something added in Xfce 4.13, because I don't have that button and I use Xfce 4.12.
I think the context of where the string is shown is also important. To me, having "Edit Menu" in the right click menu of the panel button would imply it will show the configuration dialog of Whisker Menu, but it is fine in the Xfce applications menu because you are already inside of the configuration dialog and it is therefore not ambiguous. I don't think this string should change.
