About the about dialog. In other software i have seen the translator names is made into a link using mailto: in front of the email address i guess so people can just click the name to send an email. Just an idea. It would make the list slimmer/simpler/easier to look at. Should allow/work with empty email addresses to. Because i prefer not having my email address there. Same for links like: https://www.xfce.org <https://bugzilla.xfce.org> They could be made clickable to and just have: www.xfce.org bugzilla.xfce.org
Does Xfce even link to the website (xfce.org) front page anywhere? Seems like it would be a good idea to have a big link in About so users can easily get the the website. Not just a blue link at the bottom of a long text. But like something you can see without scrolling. Perhaps a button. I kind of would like a list of basic system info like: Operating system/Distribution: Xubuntu 19.04 Desktop Environment: Xfce 4.14 Website: xfce.org Maybe some info like "uname -a" that give a little information about the system. Like are you using Linux and what version. 32/64 bit. That way when users need help on IRC or something like that and the user or other people need to know what version they are using they can go to About and copy what they need and paste it elsewhere. So the text like Xfce 4.14 should be selectable so it can be copied.
Since #14638, email are not clickable in about, by choice. About the system information, 4.15 serie provides a new "System" tab in about. Good idea to add some link to the website in this windows.
