Created attachment 8334 Coredump logs Overview: a coredump was logged and I was told to report it here. Attached is a log of the coredump from systemd. Running XFCE 4.13.3 on Arch Linux 5.0.0
Do you get coredumps consistently or it happened only once? Do you notice any pattern (every login, once a day...)? Unfortunately those stack traces are not helpful without debugging symbols, I see xfdesktop on the stack but it does't tell which part of the program caused the crash. If are able to install the following package from AUR, it may help us figuring out what's wrong: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=xfdesktop-devel You just need to replace "--disable-debug" with "--enable-debug=yes", after installing that package coredumps will be more meaningful.
Sorry for late response -- not sure, it seems to be intermittent. I will try switching to -devel and see if I can capture a more meaningful coredump! (For what it's worth, it doesn't seem to be happening on my laptop; just on a workstation i was trying to set up and gave up on for now.)
I have since been unable to reliably reproduce, so this issue can be closed. I have enabled debug however, so if any more issues happen I will be sure to report them with the appropriate debug-enabled devel packages.
