Environment =========== My Linux distribution Manjaro 17.1.12 provides Ristretto 0.8.3 as optional image viewer. I like to managed my JPEG images taken with an arbitrary camera and some PNG images consisting of desktop screenshots. Issue ===== While rotating or flipping an image Ristretto 0.8.3 seems to save the changes as new copy of the original image file. Unfortunately, reloading the manipulated image reveals that no changes got applied, at all. Also, the resulting MD5SUM of both original and manipulated image files has the same MD5 sum. In addition, it does not seem to matter whether the image file has the Exif orientation tag present. Expectation =========== Ristretto should save all applied changes to the copied image file.
#12429 see patch has a basic implementation for this request
I don't know how to respond to this, as my reported issue is still present in Ristretto v0.10.0. Where can I take a look at the patch #12429 – Can you provide a link to me, please?
