Created attachment 8005 coredump this is what i did: - i had two thunar windows open, both using the "shortcut panel view". - i pulled (moved) a file from window 2 to window 1. - both thunar windows crashed (but the file was successfully copied) as i was debugging https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14640 i have a complete coredump of event. see attached file. note: i have NOT managed to reproduce this bug. so it for sure do not happen frequently.
Thanks for as well reporting this one ! I will have a look at, if I have time. Meanwhile, possibly you may want to use a new feature as workaround ;) Bug #13314 ... will be released soon in thunar 1.8.2
@alexxcons you're welcome. and thanks for letting me know about the new feature. that sounds like a nice addition. i will try it!
What you attached are the details of the coredump, which contains the backtrace (aka stack trace). Unfortunately it only tells that the crash happened in thunar_list_model_get_value, but not on which line. Can you send us the coredump?
Created attachment 8014 coredump9.txt (finally, xfce.org is up and running again.) i hope this is what you need then. coredump8.txt - backtrace related coredump: https://filedn.com/l83EzxKLLIU7GFoqO2C1bgY/180831_thunarBug/core.Thunar.1000.bf7dbf1a805244e6b01d3eefa79b5a2b.3161.1537951619000000.lz4 coredump9.txt - backtrace related coredump: https://filedn.com/l83EzxKLLIU7GFoqO2C1bgY/180831_thunarBug/core.Thunar.1000.54f4a021db4c4438a1cfcab92abdf69a.2594.1538116304000000.lz4
