Not sure if this classes as a bug - zimagez.com is perhaps an independent image hosting site and not part of the application - but since it is integrated and I can't seem to find any information on it anywhere: For a couple of weeks at least now, access to ZimageZ.com yields an error page with a message along the lines of: "Your websever lacks some requirements that must be fixed to install Chevereto." Of course, attempting to upload from within xfce4-screenshooter fails. Image upload to zimagez was a really nice feature - imgur is much too heavy a site for quick sharing of a simple image. Are the site maintainers aware? Can anything be done? Is this the end of zimagez?
No, I wasn't aware, thanks for pointing this out. Probably they're updating their infra, the domain has been renewed last month. I'll try to get in touch with the responsible. I'll report back when I hear from them.
No response so far, probably the service is indefinitely down... Well, I'm going to remove support for zimagez in the next release (1.9.2), after that I hope to introduce something like "user custom actions", so users are free to do what they want with their pictures, including upload them to any image hosting service out there, as long as they are able to put together a nifty script to handle that.
Andre Miranda referenced this bugreport in commit 5fe8d8971ab0895d2e2b3fdf561f3141d9c95a6d Remove zimagez support (Bug #14283) https://git.xfce.org/apps/xfce4-screenshooter/commit?id=5fe8d8971ab0895d2e2b3fdf561f3141d9c95a6d
Just for the record, the feature to support arbitrary image hosting services is requested in bug #12642.
