Terminals is windows that width depends on text line width. When terminals places with tiling scheme, they have eye-sickness "useless gaps" between terminal decoration and edges of screen. But it is not the only issue. Terminal can dinamically changes it's height (for example, when you make a second tab and tabs line appears), and in this case the tile goes through the screen edge and some lines become cutted. I believe, the window manager should keep a tile dimensions.
