I only just found out that this is or was in a dialog in Thunar. If there is a newer version of Thunar, I cannot test if this bug is still in it. The abbreviation "i.e." is wrong in context. It means '_id est_' or 'in other words', so that "the management of . . . media" is only about "how cameras should be handled", when it's really about much more. It should be replaced with "e.g.," (including the comma), because "e.g." means '_exempli gratia_' or 'for example'. This was found on AMD hardware running Linux, in IceWM desktop > SUSE > Utilities > Desktop > File Manager > File Manager Preferences > Advanced > Volume Management. My original report (August, 2015): https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=941046
Andre Miranda referenced this bugreport in commit 21fab2e322f7046d0b9b2089ad976566b122443c Use e.g. instead of i.e. (Bug #14035) https://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/commit?id=21fab2e322f7046d0b9b2089ad976566b122443c
Agreed, I just didn't know that a comma was required for American English. Thanks for reporting, it'll be available in 1.7.1.
