Created attachment 7417 normal display config Hi, please forgive me if this report is in the wrong section. I didnt really know where to place it but this one looked the most likely. I have 3 monitors of different sizes next to each other, with the middle monitor being my primary monitor. See attached `Selection_011.png`. When either the most left monitor or the middle/primary monitor switches off, the desktop is resized to the 2 remaining monitors. But if I switch the monitor on again, it is assumed that the primary monitor is always on x position 0 causing the desktop to overlap. See `Selection_010.png` for when I switch off/on the middle/primary monitor and `Selection_012.png` for when I switch off/on the left monitor. Although I am happy to spent some time writing a patch for this, I have no idea where to start looking unfortunately. The screenshots were made with the latest git version of xfwm4.

The reason I ask is because this issue has become such a nuisance as it also happens (often, not always) when Xscreensaver triggers. So at least once a day I have to re-order my displays again...
You should be able to resolve your problem with Xfce 4.14 and saving a display profile for your setup. Please reopen if you disagree.
