Created attachment 7243 Window Manager Tweaks screenshot In the Compositor tab of the Window Manager Tweaks window, it seems that the "Synchronize drawing to the vertical blank" setting is broken. Selecting it, closing then reopening said Tweaks window shows it as unselected again. I just want to enable Vsync, I can't believe how complicated it is to activate such a useful feature. I am running xfwm4 version 4.13.0 (revision a46bb00) for Xfce 4.12, according to xfwm4 --version. I attached a screenshot below showing the issue (not that there is much to show). How can I activate Vsync without the Tweaks window ? Any config file I could edit ? I hope you can help me out and fix this issue.
The option is completely gone: https://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/commit/?id=7115d1b4f4021043bb59e6acafa105cb77fe5b9d https://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/commit/?id=b2c7463452de38e25e11cdb4fe2ce5faef9cc316 Now xfwm will try to use XPresent then OpenGL to achieve tear-free compositing.

Thank you for the information, that is good news ! Any idea when the fix will be available in a public release ?
It is in master branch and will be released in 4.14. 4.13 development releases are tagged from master. Make sure you have XPresent and Epoxy enabled (xfwm4 --version will tell you).

I'm particularly curious about when it will be available on Debian Buster (Testing).
