While very new to this organization, I have been challenged to put at least one capital letter in my password. The concern is that IF I am a one handed person, I have a difficult time holding down the shift key, and what's more important, if the customer puts in an entire sentence with a phone number in it, it's not likely to be guessed and making a capital letter requirement on top of a symbol requirement is a bit offensive. I do believe there are people who have very difficult passwords to crack, and if the fact is that you don't want to have a contact number and a database of people who should be called in case of spam or virus attacks, you really don't gain that much control by suggesting a single capital letter in a word that could easily be keylogged. Please bring this to the attention of the people who made that standard and tell them they are actually discriminating against people with mobility differences. My Aunt used to be paralysed from the neck down, so I am a bit sensitive to some able bodied peoples rank insensitivities. Thank you for listening to my complaint, and please have a great day!
What is the actual product you have this problem with? Or is this a general comment on password requirements?
