Hi, In MX linux 16, i changed my wallpaper. However every time i boot or reboot/shutdown, the original wallpaper that comes with the distribution shows up.
This is because something in your X session sets a X11 root window wallpaper, which is shown before xfdesktop starts. On most distributions this is set to the default X11 gray color (not a bitmap) (hence on Debian I see a grey background flash before xfdesktop starts) See the manpage of xsetroot https://manpages.debian.org/stretch/x11-xserver-utils/xsetroot.1.en.html I would check through ~/.xinitrc, /etc/xdg/autostart/, ~/.config/autostart/ to see where the default background is set, and remove it. https://mxlinux.org/ doesn't have any links to their source code, so it is hard to tell. I encourage you to contact the mx linux team on their bug tracker. Feel free to reopen if you still think this is an XFCE bug.
