The problem I describe is as follows (Ristretto 0.8.0 and 0.8.1! Maybe earlier versions too): 1) Copy a bunch of pictures in a directory 2) Open Ristretto 3) Select "Open an image" (The folder icon for loading a picture) 4) Select a picture from that directory where you copied the pictures in (e.g. chose the first one) On my system (Fedora 25) rather than loading the "selected" picture, Ristretto loads a "random" picture from that directory. It would be nice, if Ristretto loads the correcty selected one rather than a random one.
I cannot reproduce this with 0.8.1... Which option is selected under Edit->Sorting?
It does so if file is not an image (broken/unsupported).
It seems that an image get opened if it can be opened - closing the bug.
But if it can't be opened - a random *another* image is opened *without any warning*.
(In reply to Alexander Kurakin from comment #4) > But if it can't be opened - a random *another* image is opened *without any > warning*. What behavior would you expect?
> What behavior would you expect? If I am trying to open an invalid file? Error.
Igor, ping.
