There is a program called gmrun which is a bit more enhanced than xfrun4/gnome-run but some users may like to use it (I'm at least going to try it out). However, Alt+F2 seems not to be configurable, either in the Window Manager settings or the Shortcuts settings. It would be nice if this were added to the Window Manager settings so the resulting action could be changed.
You are using svn trunk version. I know, I'm woking on it. The thing is the functionality is to be removed from xfwm4 and implemented on a separate shortcut editor, that will allow unlimited number of shortcuts. JF and I are both working on the shortcut editor, in the mean time, if you need to change existing shorcuts, either switch back to the stable branch or edit the keythemerc by hand.
OK, again, I didn't want to be a pest. :P Thanks for the workarounds.
Wait a second; I thought I was replying to http://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1265. For this one, you're saying that I can change Alt+F2/xfrun4 in the keythemerc and that this will be working for 4.4?
Nah, I'm saying that we are in the middle of changing the way shortcuts work. When finished, you'll use a shortcut manager totally independant from the WM. But for now, to change the existing shortcuts, you have to edit the keythemerc and change the fields by hand. That will not work with 4.4 when released, as you'll have a working shortcut manager then.
