Created attachment 6666 screenshot of properties window http://s32.postimg.org/xg4qh7eh1/Screenshot_2016_05_21_04_24_42.png I have a 160gb SSD and this is reporting my entire filesystem is 140TB. Also over time I seem to lose space, as though deleting something doesn't either delete it or fully delete it. I've noticed this over the past 5 reinstalls of my distro. The distro I've been using is Xubuntu 15.10 x64.
Thanks for reporting and sorry for the long delay! I can reproduce the bug as well for master: 611985 Objekte der Gesamtgröße 140,8 TB (einige Inhalte unleserlich) Looks like the 140,8TB are some upper bound
If you open the "/" folder properties it will report the correct size. The culprit seems to be /proc/kcore, it confuses even ls: ls -lh kcore -r-------- 1 root root 128T fev 13 21:31 kcore More info: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/21170795/proc-kcore-file-is-huge Nemo claims to have solved the problem in: https://github.com/linuxmint/nemo/issues/1050 But if one selects a couple of folders, including /proc, their properties dialog will still report the wrong size, just like Thunar (Nautilus displays the same behavior). I think that we should either live with it or hard-code a workaround for this single file (I don't like this).
