I wrote some important text and poweroff my machine - to the next day I not found this added text. Maybe you will need to call SAVE function when system start to power off? Or maybe you can add option to the preferences to adjust the saving time interval or maybe you can save content for every changes? This is important problem - software for saving content can not save the content.
Happened a bunch of times with me too. This is the best desktop sticky notes plugin for me, but because of this bug I even tried to switch. Affects the latest (1.8.1) version. Tested it rebuilding from git. Looking at the code it seems that it listens for text changes and sets the 60s timer to save the note to the disk. But the Xnp.HypertextView (Gtk.TextView) "changed" event only fires once at the start and then gets silent or it starts working when I switch to different note but still fires somehow unreliably. I guess it could be gtk bug or I don't know.
