I am running Runtu. Runtu is based on Debian, Ubuntu 16.04, with the XFCE desktop. I right-clicked on the desktop, clicked on Desktop Settings, and when the box popped up there were no wallpappers inside to select. Here is a screenshot ----> http://imgur.com/a/3DGI4 I do believe this is a bug. Here is my solution: I opened up a terminal. I typed in sudo thunar, and pushed the enter key, and typed in password. The thunar file manager window popped up, I navigated to /home/me/.cache/thumbnails and deleted everything inside the thumbnails folder. As soon as i was finished doing this the wallpaper was visable in Desktop Settings, and everything in Desktop Settings was functioning as normal.
cimbakahn, was it necessary to use root to delete the folder content? Maybe an ownership issue? I will close this report for now. We can reopen it if the problem is still present.
