As it is clipman is a wonderfully useful tool but I find I "lose" frequently pasted items in the clipman's list if I'm doing a lot of textual copy and paste in text. I'd like to see two lists of items in clipman, a static list that doesn't slide/recycle as well as the current one that slides least recently used items downwards. The static list would work a bit like autokey, where we use a keyboard shortcut to paste something frequently used, but instead would use the mouse to pick the item from a static list. For more than a few items, autokey has too many shortcuts to remember. Clipman's lists can be longer and still very useful. It might be helpful to sort the static list by item-name or last access time or re-order by drag and drop.

An item should be movable from the dynamic to the static list by some action of the mouse, like right-click move to the static list or a check-box.

This concept of static and dynamic lists might be a special case of multiple lists so a user browsing might have a list for snippets of code, URIs, a list for text-editing, a list for passwords, etc. so one might have a concept of multiple lists which the user could choose one or more to be "active/current" and/or "dynamic/static". A user might be able to create or destroy a new list or a list that will no longer be used. It might be useful for the user to be able to delete from the lists particular items that will no longer be used or are aged.

Thanks for one of my most-used tools.
