It will be useful to have a button to toggle files preview. Sometimes you simply don't need to have a preview of your files. Some other times when you browse a large folder full of videos the preview can slowdown the computer with no real benefit because the preview of one frame of the videos don't help whereas the title of the file is the important thing.
Any news about this ?

Go to Preferences -> Display -> Show thumbnails: Never. Done.
