When the screensaver triggers and locks, after one unlocks the scrensaver, the mousepointer is often black. Needless to say it's not visible when over a dark background (such as a terminal window with a black background). (Using the Klein bottle screen saver, but from some testing this does not seem to matter.) When changing window panels and focusing in applications such as Kate (KDE Editor) or KDVI, the cursor returns to normal but sometimes goes black again when focused on black background of terminal window. I don't think this is an Xfce problem. Anyone else have ideas?
I hardly see how this could be related to xfce. The screensaver is Xscreensaver, the mouse is managed by X. Looks like a X driver problem. Did you try to disable hardware pointer on xorg.conf?
