I have been using root-tail with Xfce since very long time ago. I had it on second monitor to have an overview what's going under the hood, but since Xfce 4.12 the desktop is redrawn on each mouse click on the desktop which clears the root-tail output. It would be great to have an option to stop this redraws for xfdesktop to behave the same way as in older Xfces. This feature is important for me, so I could try to provide patch if you don't have resources for it.
Oh right, I think this was changed while working on the menu popups. A patch would be welcome. If it doesn't cause any regressions then we don't really need an option, we can just change it back.
