In 0.3 column which showed line number was grey, and text field white. Now both of them are white like in gedit and this is confusing. All other notepads' line number column has dark fill
I noticed this too. It appears to be a change in GtkSourceView themes (which is what Gedit uses too). The best thing to do would be to get it fixed in GtkSourceView so it fixes both programs. Mousepad doesn't provide any of its own themes.
Created bug-report on gnome bugzilla https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=751112
According to gnome bugzilla: With GtkSourceView 3.16 the line numbers column is gray, also with the classic and tango style schemes Have you tried to compile it with 3.16 ?
No, I'm just using the GTK+ that comes with my distro (3.14).
My specs: - Arch Linux fully updated - gtksourceview2 2.10.5-3 - gtksourceview3 3.16.1-1 - Mousepad from git - GTK2 Theme: Orion - GTK3 Theme: Adwaita Mousepad using GTK2 and GTK3: ok, line numbers have gray background.
If so - bug may be closed
I'm closing the bug, but if this problem persists using gtksourceview3 >= 3.16, please reopen.
Tested Xubuntu 16.04 deaily beta build, bug exists (apt-cache show libgtksourceview = 3.18.1-1)
on fedora 23 with latest packages problem is resolved
