I need a bit more info to be able to debug this. Could you attach the output of "upower -d"? Also, does the panel plugin display the icon?

Panel displays the icon, it's just tray icon, when this feature is set in settings, there's no icon (in fact missing icon) in notification area.

Just a note, we're having some general icon issues with 1.5.0 that we considered resolved before this release. So I guess we'll have to work more on that and I hope in the course of that, this bug will be fixed too.
