Created attachment 6194 exo restore window focus Desktop "steals" focus from the thunar's, xfce4-terminal's and mousepad's(GTK+ 3) window. Reverted commit 3a2c05b solves focus on the thunar's and xfce4-terminal's window, unfortunately not for mousepad's. For comparison, leafpad(GTK+ 2) works OK. How to reproduce: - single-click on "Terminal Emulator" within the "Applications Menu" - single-click on "File Manager" within the "Applications Menu" - doubl-click on plain text document located on the "Desktop", associated with the "Mousepad" Versions in use: gtk2-2.24.27-1.fc21.x86_64 gtk3-3.14.12-1.fc21.x86_64 exo-0.10.4-5.git20150413.fc21.x86_64 - git 97450db xfdesktop-4.12.1-5.git20150405.fc21.x86_64 - git 73b441e Thunar-1.6.6-8.git20150413.fc21.x86_64 - git 93da675 xfce4-terminal-0.6.3-10.git20150316.fc21.x86_64 - git b5d4070 mousepad-0.4.0-2.git20150228.fc21.x86_64- git e2ec3f2
Yes, we are aware of the window focus issue which is triggered by a faulty change in exo (bug 9570). The mousepad issue should be fixed with commit http://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/commit/?id=03ed0b6fff9a740f2f8971770ba03d0d4f6af718 .
Thanks for the tip. Regarding the mousepad, that thunar commit nor the ones by side, have not a positive effect. Also I checked with various git commitas: exo, gtk3, mousepad, Thunar and xfdesktop. Also none of these helps.
At least estos dos gtk2 amigos work with patch. Saludos.
For comparison, regarding the mousepad, l3afpad(GTK+ 3) also works OK.
BTW RESOLVED WORKSFORME only applies to thunar & xfce4-terminal.
All three loose focuses: - thunar - xfce4-terminal - mousepad have been resolved by: focus: Ignore zero timestamp from s/n http://git.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/commit/?id=fd79ee2 Thansk Olivier.
