I don't know if this is related to the crash bug report, but since it's different I decided to file a new one. I'm running Arch Linux and using the xfce411 unofficial repo. When opening up the Appearance settings, it freezes for about 20 seconds before I can scroll through installed themes, select one, or change tabs. (If I click, it will set a theme, but the theme doesn't appear to be selected for about 20 seconds.) I tried downloading the xfce4-settings master from github, and when I compiled it, it continued to do the same thing. (I just ran appearance from xfce4-settings...is there anyway to double check I'm running the right version?) What other info do you need to try and diagnose this bug? (I know it's the eleventh hour, but it'd be nice if this could be fixed before 4.12 is released). Thanks!
I wanted to add that it takes up about 500MB of RAM when it's open (even after it's no longer frozen). I assume that's much more than it should?
Created attachment 6032 Backtrace of xfce4-appearance-settings while the bug was happening! Since there was no terminal output when this initial input lagging bug was happening, I decided to do a backtrace! Hope this helps you track the bug!
Affected version: 4.12.0-2 I also have this bug, and here is some info about my system! I attached a backtrace of xfce4-appearance-settings in my previous comment! Distro: Manjaro 0.8.12 (unstable) Self-built: No
Created attachment 6040 Test 2: Backtrace of xfce4-appearance-settings while the bug was happening! I did another backtrace with more quick timing so that the backtrace has a higher chance of showing exactly what things were happening when the delay bug was going on, please fix this, it would be better if you guys fix these errors and release a less buggy version of xfce 4.12!
