Hello, I hope I file this bug in the good section... Screenshot seems to have been translated, but is always showing messages in English. So I think the langage detection isn't proper. Thanks for the amazing job you are doing ! Ben
Maybe there was no release in the screenshooter and the translations are only in git? Either way, this is not a bug in xfce4-settings. Re-assigning to screenshooter.
With what version is this ? Can you explain the problem you're seeing a bit better ?
Hy, I am working on the last LTS of xubuntu (14.04) and a file is missing in /usr/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES The missing file is xfce4-screenshooter.mo, so the screen shooter is not translated in French (and other languages also) because of this. Once added (I just tryed), everything is OK. Of course, it will be easier to include this file for every languages in an update. Tahnks for your answers !
I fail to understand the issue here... to me it looks like a packaging problem in xubuntu itself ? the screenshooter tarball doesnt provide .mo files, only .po files, and the build/packaging is supposed to create the .mo file.
Sorry, indeed, it seems to be a bug from xubuntu... I didn't contact the right place. Thanks for your time anyway, I will contact xubuntu instead ! Have a nice day
Closing as it's a downstream bug[1]. Here everything is fine, package from official repo(Arch) and built from source. 1 - https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lyx/+bug/1366354
