It would be nice if mounted network folders would appear indented underneath the 'network' icon, rather than mixed together with other listed devices.
Created attachment 9496 mockup of how it would look
Hmm. For tree-view, that would be nice. Though what would be the equivalent in bookmark view ? To keep some consistency, I would than at least show all network folders below the bookmark-view "network" section.
I presume bookmark view is shortcut view and in that view its place underneath 'Browse Network' in the 'NETWORK' category, so that is fine as it is.
Created attachment 9502 shares in shortcuts view
If you open "network:///" in the main pane, does the mounted network folder appear there?
no doesnt appear in the main pane. main pane shows 'Windows Network' and the parent machine that /shares/ network share is part of [ smb://jay-hp-prodesk-600-g1-twr.local/ ]
Then it should be like this: Network jay-hp-prodesk-600-g1-twr.local /shares/ Anyways, the code to prevent mixing of network folders together with other devices can be found here: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16471#c10
