I've noticed huge discrepancies between reported free space (in thunar), and actual free space on SSHFS mounted filesystems. The space thunar show is noticibly higher than the actual free space: $ df -h . Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on dav@hades.barrera.io:/Series 1.9T 1.8T 74G 96% /home/hugo/videos/Shows (Note less than 1GB free) (Yes, it's sshfs even though the username is dav) However, the status bar when looking at /home/hugo/videos/Shows says: "5 items, Free space: 634.2GB". About an hour ago, I also noticed that the free space was ~40GB, and thunar reported > 900GB free. The space reported on the remote system is pretty much the same: $ df -h . Filesystem Size Used Avail Capacity Mounted on /dev/sd2a 1.8T 1.7T 72.2G 96% /var/dav/files/Series I understand the discrepancies when running "du" (less than 1G, less than 0.1%), but the difference between thunar and du is too much (~1000%, > 600G). This happens for me with another 3T large sshfs mounts as well. The reported free space is proportional to the real free space, but always off by ~10x.
