Description of problem: Running xfce4-display-settings from CLI or from Application Menu throws the dialogue window Unable to start the Xfce Display Settings Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): xfce4-settings-4.10.1-3.fc20.x86_64 How reproducible: Always Steps to reproduce: 1) Run xfce4-display-settings from command line. OR 1) Click Display Settings from Application Menu -> Settings Actual results: This error is thrown Unable to start the Xfce Display Settings Expected Results: Display settings should appear properly. Additional information: Faced the problem first in F18, upgraded to F20 and problem persists. Although I can bypass the real issue of selecting display settings from arandr or xrandr, I would appreciate if this issue is tackled. I have strace available. Will attach in a bit after masking the confidential data.
Created attachment 5387 strace of the command It has been run with *only* -f switch. If we need strace with child threads traced as well, let me know.
Anything on this folks? I know a new package is there? Should I try that out.

I had the same problem with a dual-head (zaphodhead) setup. By removing the test for the number of screens with above patch the display settings properly open. The comment in the code said it wouldn't work with more then one screen, but apparently this is no longer the case, maybe it was a randr 1.2 problem that is now solved in randr-1.3.
