I would like to request the option to disable volume change notifications sent through notifyd every time the volume is changed with the mixer applet. The mixer's tooltip already displays the volume %, so the notification is not particularly useful and thus is not a wise use of screen/tray space. As an aside, I chose the product as Xfce4-mixer because xfce4-volumed is not listed under the All Products page, even though I suppose that's what is sending the notification.
Hi, Xfce4-volumed might still be maintained over Launchpad actually, but anyway here's the review for your report: you can build the app without libnotify support. Just download the source, open a terminal in the folder containing "configure.ac", type './configure --with-libnotify=no --prefix=/usr/local', then type 'sudo make install' and enjoy!
