The file open dialog will cause applications to crash. I believe this is 100% reproducible. 1. Download and install LibreOffice 3 (3.5.7.2, Build 350m1). 2. Run LibreOffice (but FireFox is equally at risk). 3. Create a new document; write a few characters; save it. 4. Select File >> Open. 5. Leave the "Open" dialog open. 6. Browse to the $HOME directory. the You should have a file dialog open at this point. Next: 1. Open a shell. 2. Change to your home directory. 3. Copy a rather large .zip file (1 GB) to your home directory (ensure the .zip file has only one file within it, and will extract directly into the home directory -- no subdirectories allowed). 4. Unzip the .zip file into the home directory. Expected Results The application (LibreOffice) remains open and the user can select a file in that directory. Actual Results Crash.
How does a crash of libreoffice somehow seem to be an xfce bug? Even if it is an xfce bug, how does it become a bug in the xfc module, which is language bindings?
