Events with a priority of 8 or higher no longer appear in the eventlist or below the calendar. This still worked with orage 4.6/debian squeeze. You can still see that there is an event in the calendar as the the day is marked bold but when you click on it the entry is missing. You can retrieve it by search. How to reproduce: -Add a new event, set its priority to 7 or lower and save it. -Note that it gets listed in the eventlist. -Edit it and set its priority to 8 or higher. -The event will disappear from the list. (At least for me.) Maybe it´s a feature as I couldn´t find it in the bug list (when searching for 'priority')...
Did some more searching and could actually find the commit (44c855931730fa582c857ee606613d2fa0f578fa)introducing this feature. What I could not find was a rule why and when to hide an event by priority. The specs (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5545#section-3.8.1.9) didn´t help either. The way it is handled right now is not really evident to me. Anyway, it´s a feature - so: sorry for the noise. May be closed
Yes, I added this feature when I added hourly alarms. I used hourly alarms to beep every hour and I did noyt want to see that alarm in lists as it would have been too much.
I bumped into this myself the other day, and it was quite confusing. May I suggest to document the use of 'Priority' in a tooltip, including the disappearance behaviour for low priorities?
Done. To be honest, I was tricked more than once by this myself.
Fixed in 4.10.0
This one is NOT fixed! I downloaded an ical calendar with tags "PRIORITY:9" and these events are not shown.(Orage 4.10.0)
